♿️ About X-7 electric wheelchair
The X-7 is a lighter alternative to the X-6, built on a different frame and fitted with twin 12Ah batteries for up to 27 miles of range per charge. It shares the familiar folding design and comes with either a 45cm or 52cm seating width, so you can match the chair to your build. The brushed motor keeps the pricing sensible while offering reliable daily performance. Cushion and backrest upgrades in leather or linen are available at configuration. Each X-7 is prepared in the UK before dispatch, with free UK delivery, eligible VAT relief and a 30-day home trial.
⚖️ X-7 vs X-6: comparing the two frames
The X-7 isn't an upgraded X-6 — it's a different chair built on a different frame. The main differences are weight and range. The X-7's frame is lighter, bringing the overall lift easier than the X-6 for most users, and the standard battery configuration is twin 12Ah packs rather than a single 20Ah, giving up to 27 miles of range instead of 19. Seat widths are 45cm and 52cm on the X-7, against 45cm and 51cm on the X-6. Both use brushed motors and share the same overall folding approach. If range and a slightly easier lift matter to you, the X-7 is the better match. If budget matters more and the X-6's range is enough, the X-6 remains a sensible choice.
🔋 Twin battery range explained
The X-7 runs on two 12Ah lithium batteries wired in series to deliver the voltage the motor needs. Together they provide up to 27 miles of range on a full charge — considerably more than the X-6's single 20Ah pack. Real-world UK range typically lands at 70 to 85 per cent of that headline figure, depending on hills, user weight and outside temperature. Each battery also comes in individually under the 300Wh limit most airlines set for cabin lithium batteries, which makes the X-7 travel-friendly. Both batteries charge together from a single UK three-pin socket, taking around 6 to 8 hours from flat. Replacement batteries are stocked in the UK for the life of the chair, so servicing is straightforward.
🛠️ Configuring your X-7
The X-7 is configured at order rather than on delivery, so the chair arrives ready to use. Choose your seat width — 45cm for most average UK builds or 52cm for broader hips — at checkout. Standard frame colour is black. Cushion and backrest upgrades in leather or linen are offered for an additional cost at order, with leather in five colours and linen in three. The twin 12Ah batteries are standard. Once ordered, the chair is pre-configured in our UK warehouse, tested, and dispatched assembled. On delivery, install the batteries into their marked slots and the X-7 is ready to drive. The 30-day home trial begins from the day of delivery, with free UK delivery and eligible VAT relief included.
