♿️ About X-6 electric wheelchair
The X-6 is our most accessibly priced folding electric wheelchair, designed for UK users who want a reliable everyday chair without complicated extras. You can choose between a 45cm or 51cm seating width, with a heaviest single lift piece of around 23.5kg for the standard 45cm version. The 20Ah battery provides up to 19 miles of range, and a lighter 12Ah airline-approved battery is available for flights and holidays. Cushion and backrest upgrades in leather or linen are offered at configuration. Each X-6 is prepared in the UK before dispatch, with free UK delivery, eligible VAT relief and a 30-day home trial.
🔋 X-6 battery options: daily use or travel
The X-6 is offered with a 20Ah battery as standard, giving up to 19 miles of range on a full charge — enough for a typical day of shopping, appointments and errands without recharging. A lighter 12Ah battery is offered as an alternative, coming in under the 300Wh limit most airlines set for lithium batteries in the cabin. The 12Ah pack is the travel choice for holidays, flights and shorter days, covering around 13 to 15 miles. Real-world UK range typically lands at 70 to 85 per cent of the headline figure, depending on hills, user weight and the outside temperature. Many X-6 buyers keep both batteries ready, using the 20Ah for daily routines and the 12Ah for travel.
⚖️ Choosing 45cm or 51cm seat width
The X-6 offers two seat widths, chosen at order. A 45cm seat suits most average UK builds and keeps the folded chair as compact as possible. A 51cm seat adds room for broader hips or thicker winter clothing, and uses a slightly reinforced frame to maintain the same ride characteristics. Sit on a firm chair, measure across your hips at the widest point, add 3 to 4cm for comfort, and choose the closest size. If you're between sizes, the 51cm gives more wriggle room without affecting the chair's ability to fit through a standard UK doorway. Our UK team is happy to talk through sizing before you order, and the 30-day home trial applies to either width.
🎯 Who the X-6 is designed for
The X-6 is our most accessibly priced folding electric wheelchair, built for buyers who want a reliable daily chair without complicated extras. It suits users who need a straightforward powerchair for pavements, supermarkets and the occasional day out, and who don't need the lightest possible lift or the longest range. The brushed motor is simpler than a brushless system but handles daily UK use reliably. The 23.5kg heaviest lift piece suits users who either have help loading the chair or drive a car with a higher boot. For lighter lifts or longer range, the X-7 or IQ-Carbon may suit better — our UK team can talk through alternatives if the X-6 isn't quite the right match.
