Spare Parts FAQ
Common questions about ordering replacement parts for your electric wheelchair or mobility scooter.
Every spare part listing clearly states which models and versions it is compatible with. Check the page title for the model, and review the “Fits” badge on each part in the Parts List & Compatibility section above before ordering. If your chair has multiple variants (for example, standard or auto-recline), make sure you select the correct version. If you're unsure, use our Find the Right Part tab or contact our team with your model name and serial number.
0% VAT may apply on parts designed for use with qualifying mobility products. If you have a long-term illness or disability, eligible parts can be purchased VAT-free for personal use. A short declaration is required at checkout — no medical evidence needed.
Most of spare parts are held in UK stock and typically dispatched the same or next working day. Standard UK delivery takes 1–4 working days, so your chair is back up and running as quickly as possible. If you need your part urgently, contact our team to check express delivery options.
Many parts — such as batteries, chargers, armrests, and tyres — are designed for straightforward, tool-free or minimal-tool replacement at home. For step-by-step help, visit our Replacement Guides page, which includes instructions for common swaps. If a part requires specialist fitting, we'll make that clear on the listing and can recommend a local service if needed.
If the part is unused, in its original packaging, and returned within 30 days, we'll happily exchange it or issue a refund. Simply contact our customer service team to arrange a return — they'll guide you through the process and help identify the correct replacement. Please note that parts which have been fitted or show signs of use cannot be returned for hygiene and safety reasons.
Yes — every spare part we sell is a genuine, factory-original component made to the same specification as the part your chair was built with. So you can be confident of a perfect fit, safe performance, and full compatibility. This also means your chair's warranty and safety certifications remain unaffected.
Most spare parts are backwards-compatible across production runs of the same model, but small revisions can occasionally affect fit. To be certain, locate the serial number on your chair's frame and send it to our team — we'll confirm exactly which parts are correct for your unit. This quick check avoids any guesswork and ensures you receive the right part first time.
Spare parts supplied under your chair's existing warranty are provided as a warranty replacement and do not carry a separate or extended warranty of their own. If your chair is still within its original warranty period, the replacement part is covered for the remainder of that term only. For parts purchased outside of warranty, our standard returns policy applies — please contact our team if you experience any issues after fitting.
Our lithium-ion batteries that are marked "Airline Compatible" meet IATA regulations and are accepted by most major airlines and cruise lines. We always recommend contacting your airline or cruise operator at least 48 hours before travel to confirm their specific battery requirements. Carry your battery in its original packaging with the safety data sheet, upon request we can provide a copy of it.
We strongly advise against using non-genuine chargers, as they may deliver the wrong voltage or current — risking overcharging, reduced battery life, and potential safety hazards. Our genuine chargers are precisely matched to your battery's specifications to ensure safe, efficient charging every time. Using a non-genuine charger may also void your battery warranty.
Common signs include reduced battery range, unusual noises from the motors, worn or flat tyre treads, loose or cracked armrests, and a joystick that drifts or feels unresponsive. Each spare part listing on our site describes the specific symptoms that indicate that particular component needs attention. If you're unsure, our team is happy to help diagnose the issue — just get in touch with a description of the problem.
