Fitting Guide
Fitting Guide: How to Bag Your Powerchair
Follow these five steps to fit your ComfyGO travel bag quickly and correctly every time.
- Fold Your Chair Compact frame. Fold your powerchair fully before attempting to fit the bag. For X-Shape models, fold left-to-right until the frame is compact. For IQ Series models, fold front-to-back. Ensure the joystick arm is tucked in and no loose cables are hanging free.
- Remove and Store the Joystick Protect components. Detach your joystick controller unit if your model allows removal. Place it inside the included joystick protection bag and secure the fastening. Set it to one side while you fit the main travel bag.
- Lower the Main Bag Over the Chair Wheels remain out. Open the main travel bag fully by undoing both security locks and the Velcro fastening. With the bag standing upright, carefully lower it over the top of your folded chair, guiding the frame into the bag. The rear wheels will remain outside the bag — this is by design.
- Secure the Closure Lock it tight. Once the chair is seated fully inside the bag, bring the Velcro closure together firmly along the top opening. If your travel bag includes, Fasten both the front and rear security locks to ensure the bag stays securely closed during transit. Give the bag a gentle lift by the top carry handle to confirm everything is secure.
- Attach the Joystick Bag and Go Ready to travel. Clip or place the joystick protection bag alongside your chair — either in a luggage compartment, car boot, or overhead storage. Your powerchair is now fully protected and ready to travel. To move, use the top carry handle or tilt and roll on the integrated wheels just as you would a suitcase.
